Yes, it is one of the best sci-fi TV series ever. The plot is very interesting, while the idea of aliens as a danger to Earth is already a very well known plot in the sci-fi genre. The characters are played excellently by the actors. You will get very curious, even more when the episode ends with a cliffhanger!

well my advice is to just watch everything starting from stargate sg1 onto atlantis and then sgu. because it will give you the information you need and stargate sg1 and stargate atlantis are both a really good series, just like stargate universe. but its up to you. I dont really know what episodes you should watch but its great just watching from the start, just watching my first episodes of stargate sg1 made me become a stargate fan.
