If you have committed a serious crime (such as murder, child abuse, etc) and there is a warrant out for your arrest, most local airports will be flagged with your name/and or picture. HOWEVER: unless you are a well-known felon, generally the only way they will know is if you check baggage. That means that while they might not recognize your name as you go through security etc., I can almost guarantee that the airport's computer system will have your name/driver's license number flagged, and they WILL take the time to check into it. So a safe bet is not to travel at all, because there is no exception to this: leaving the state when you have a warrant out for your arrest is a felony. But if you must fly, check in online or at a kiosk in the airport.
You can if you have any contact with the police, but normally a passenger will not talk to the police unless there is some other problem. You should simply take care of the warrant and not have this to worry about. They tend to pop up at the worst times.
(in the US) There is no sure answer to this question. Nowadays passenger manifests have been known to be compared against databases that COULD disclose active warrants. In those cases the police unit at the airport would have no option but to arrest, or at least detain, you until your status became clear.
You can be arrested in an airport, but the police would have to either be waiting for you, knowing you had the warrant, or would have to have some reason to "run" your name for the warrant. Unless the warrant is for a serious offense or you do something to attract the attention of the airport police, it's unlikely.
Yes, you can be arrested on an outstanding warrant while traveling through an airport. The warrants will show up on travel watch lists.
If there's an active warrant for your arrest, and the airport check-in staff notice it, you can almost certainly expect to be arrested. Especially true if you are flying internationally.
An increasing number of airports are screening potential passengers for fugitive status. It's unclear whether all of them do.
Yes! I was arrested returning from Thailand and they arrested me as soon as I stepped off the plane. The entire airplanes manifest is checked before landing.
If there is a warrant for your arrest, it can be served from anywhere.
You can be arrested in ANY country... all 196 of them.
A warrant is a warrant. If you happen to be one those who gets randomly screened and your name is run through the criminal information computer AND the warrants are on file you COULD be taken into custody by the airport police.
Unless the arrest warrant specifically states that the issuing agency will extradite then you can not be arrested for it.
yes, a warrant is a warrant.
No, they arresting officers do not have to have the warrant in their possession, only the knowledge that it exists.
A warrant is a judicial order for an arrest. If the warrant was still valid, the law enforcement officer has no choice but to make an arrest.
Yes.
Then you could be extradited to the county that issued the warrant.
No
Yes.
You can fly, but if for some reason your name or ID is run by the TSA agents or the airport police you will oprobably be arrested.
if the warrant is for your arrest then yes you would be arrested
