I have used it with good results. Not too much vinegar, or the floor will have a slightly sticky feel. My best results are about 1/4 cup vinegar and 1/8 cup rubbing alcohol in a gallon of water. I use a mop with reusable and washable pads. Soak the pads in the solution, and then wring out each pad thoroughly. I use about one pad per room, more if the floor is really dirty. Toss the pads in the washer when you're done. The floors come out looking great, and dry quickly with no sticky feel. Remember you don't want the pads too wet or leave them on the laminate surface too long. I have found that standing water seeps into the seams between the boards very easily and will damage your floor irreparably, so wring out the pads well and work quickly.

Always hate to answer a question with a question, but sometimes it helps.. Why would you want to do that & what does it get you?? Laminate has a stain proof surface and the Polyurethane wont stick long term, My belief & experience is that what you propose wont work..

Ammonia can damage tile floors and warm water and vinegar isn't going to get rid of the waxy residue although it is good for normal everyday cleaning. try cleaning with ammonia read the label first Mop the floor with warm water and white vinegar that will do the trick, it won't work overnight though.
