For Windows 2003, you need to manually install the components by performing the following steps:
- From the Control Panel, open the Add/Remove Programs applet.
- Click Add/Remove Windows Components.
- Select Application Server, then click Details.
- Select the ASP.NET option.
- Select internet Information Services (IIS), then click Details.
- Select the NNTP Service, SMTP Service, and World Wide Web Service options, then click OK.
- Click OK again to close the Application Server dialog box.
- Click Next on the main Windows Components Wizard dialog box and follow the prompts when asked to insert the Windows 2003 installation CD-ROM to install the core components.
Don't forget about any service packs that might also be required. Don't install the Windows 2003 POP3 service--a more robust version is supplied with Exchange 2003.
