I think you might use laptop right now. The scrolling feature is the basic and very useful function that you can scroll the screen just with your finger up and down in the right side of your touch pad.
If you want to turn it off, you can go to Control Panel\Mouse and change the corresponding settings or just see the manual coming with your laptop. On a HP Compaq nc6320:
Control Panel -> Mouse -> Hardware (Tab) -> Properties -> Advanced Settings (Tab) -> Wheel Detection: Detection Disabled
Disadvantages:
- scrolling by pressing MB1 and sliding your finger on the pad is also disabled
- requires a reboot
The closest analogue in Windows would be the High Contrast feature. You can enable this by pressing Left Ctrl - Left Shift - Prt Scn.
I don't think that there would be an answer to this question, it's based on what you think is a good operating system and what you think isn't. From a developers point, I think Windows 7 would be the best for me as I don't like the apps feature and the tablet features also.
you don't HAVE TO, the only reason you would have to, is if you wanted to connect to the internet or itunes store. otherwise, you do not need to.
Can't really decide, but Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project is my best. & since there isn't many new side scrolling games. I would say IT IS THE BEST
In Windows Movie Maker, I would suggest using the Auto Movie feature to add effects automatically to 280 slides.
Windows Live Photo Gallery: Windows Live Photo Gallery is the free image editing software from Microsoft. It is a part of Windows live suite. It comes with easy photo editing features, and lets you upload photos to facebook. If Picasa did not have face recognition feature, I would have place Windows Live Photo Gallery at first position. One feature that Windows Live Photo Gallery has that Picasa does not is capability to create panoramic photos. Read Windows Live Photo Gallery review.

The HTC Touch is a Windows mobile device and the associated PC Suite is only available for computers running the Windows operating system. To use these with a MacBook would require that the Windows operating system be installed on the MacBook. In order to avoid having to do such a downgrade The Missing Sync software (See links below) lets you connect an HTC Touch while still enjoying Mac OS X.
The quality ones certainly do, although I would imagine that there are some shoddy brands that attempt to market them without this feature.
Seeing as how the Sidekick is not touch screen and the os is danger which is no longer working i would say its possible but not yet been proven. The sidekick 4G came out with android os but still the first sidekicks would be useless and no fun without the touch feature.
Scroll 5 miles? It would depend on how fast you are scrolling.
Since the sidebar is a feature included in Windows Vista, the best way to download it would be along side Windows Vista itself, which should be available from Microsoft's homepage. If one wishes to download gadgets to put on the sidebar, one should visit homepages such as "7th Space".
