In the 1997 documentary "Wild Man Blues," which is about Allen's 1996 European music tour with a Dixieland jazz band, the filmmaker's three Oscars are shown on a bureau in his parents' New York apartment. Allen won the 1977 Best Director award and the Best Original Screenplay award (shared with Marshall Brickman) for "Annie Hall." He also won the 1986 Best Original Screenplay award for "Hannah and Her Sisters." Although Allen has been nominated 21 times for Academy Awards, the only time he ever attended a ceremony was on March 24, 2002, when he introduced a filmed tribute to New York City after the 9-11 attacks.
