In the first category, we can always pray for another, and our prayer will be heard, and even in some instances, will be for the remission of venial sin (less serious sin-see the letter of St. James 5:16-19; the second category, we should do for another person, forgive them, pray for them, take care of them, be Christ for them, and the third category - we must, like baptism, there is no way that anyone can baptize themselves. But, nobody can repent for another person, that is entirely the other person's responsibility, although, of course, we should pray for them to be brought to repentance, but we cannot repent for them.
