Yes. The 4th and 5th generation ('92-'96 and '97-'01 respectively) JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) Honda Preludes had trim levels which used the F22B motor.
It depends on what kind of VTEC motor is being swapped into a 1996 Honda Prelude. The H22 series certainly can be swapped in, as it was in the higher trim lines of both 4th and 5th generation Preludes.
why the fu*k would you want to....it has 110hp!?!?!?!?!? Thank you someone with a brain, if you want power get a B16A2 or type R.
Need to know how to remove the interior door panel so I can replace motor for electric window
There is not one.
well i dont know about a 1996 but i was once a passanger in a 1993 Prelude Si non-vtec and we hit 145mph
Behind the timing belt cover
1992 thru 1996 models should fit
The 4th generation Prelude (1992-1996) had three engine variants, the "S" motor (SOHC F22A1), "Si" motor (DOHC H23A1), and "VTEC" motor (DOHC H22A1).
Provided they both share an h22a or f22a engine they should be a perfect match!
underneath the cup holder
Oh yes that would easily fit right in, mostly any Honda motor will fit in .
The motor oil that is recommended for a 1996 Honda Civic automatic is 5w 20. This motor oil can be purchased at any auto parts store.
