It is a possibility. Some babies seem to detect a change in the mother's milk if she gets pregnant. It is entirely possible, Not all babies will do this but many do. My oldest son weaned himself when I was near the end of my first trimester. I was shocked because he was an avid nurser. I spoke with several people trying to get him to continue nursing but the general opinion was that he was detecting a change in the taste that he didn't like.

Can you refuse to hire pregnant applicant?

Refusing to hire a woman because she's pregnant is illegal in many countries based on gender discrimination so this depends on where you live.In the US this applies, from Lawyers.com:Under the federal Pregnancy Discrimination Act, it's against the law to refuse to hire someone because she's pregnant. An employer cant refuse to hire a pregnant woman because of her pregnancy, because of a pregnancy-related condition, or because of the prejudices of co-workers, clients or customers. An employer can't require a pregnant women to submit to special procedures or tests to determine whether she can perform her job unless the employer requires all employees or applicants to submit to those same procedures or tests.

If you are pregnant and you are breastfeeding is bad?

NO ITS A GOOD THING BECAUSE ITS PREPARING YOUR BODY FOR WHAT IT WILL SOON BE DOING AGAIN.. CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR It is not bad, it is possible to breastfeed throughout your pregnancy and then tandem nurse the newborn and toddler. You may notice a drop in supply however. Once your milk turns into colustrum around the 7 months your child may refuse to breast-feed anymore. It is perfectly safe for most women to breastfeed while pregnant. Don't let anyone tell you that it's not aside from your OB. The only thing to remember is to make sure you are getting sufficient nourishment for both. I did it until my oldest weaned (end of first trimester) and plenty of women nurse straight through pregnancy and tandem nuse both children. You can find support groups both on-line and in person for this. It is normal, healthy and safe.
