A Catholic Answer (Catholics in union with the Pope)
Catholic parents can and should continue to love and cherish their daughter, even if their daughter leaves the Catholic faith and marries outside the Church. However, to love someone does not always necessarily mean the same thing as "to do everything she wants from me."
To attend only the reception afterwards would be a way to show your love and support for your daughter and her new husband, without compromising your witness to your Catholic faith.
An LDS Answer
No, provided the service took place in a chapel or somewhere else outside the holy Temple of God itself.
However, Mormons most value weddings held in their temples, wherein members can be married for ALL Eternity, not just 'til death do us part.' But in order to enter a temple and attend a "Sealing" or Temple Marriage, one must be a member of the LDS church and be worthy of a temple recommend. There are several requirements to receiving a recommend including paying a full tithe (10% of one's income), regular church attendance, living a chaste life and so on. Worthiness is determined by an interview with the Bishop (Pastor) the leader of one's local church.
If the wedding is outside of the temple, of course attending is not a sin, but the marriage would only last 'til death do us part'. Nor would it be a sin for one of any religion to attend the wedding at another.

Latter-day Saints generally attend weddings of relatives at any church and even at non-religious government offices, or in garden settings (as I did, for instance, for one of my sons) and attend funerals or Christmas functions wherever they are called upon to do so.
The best way to answer questions about sin, and the making of right vs wrong decisions, has always been to ask: "What would Jesus do?"
I believe He attended the various synogogues and did all that He was asked to do, provided it was not ungodly.

Why do Catholics pretend that the Catholic Church especially at the highest level didn't support Hitler?

.Catholic AnswerCatholics do not "pretend" that the Church didn't support Hitler, they know that the Church didn't support Hitler. All of the proof is that Pope Pius XII did everything in his power to support and protect the Jews, Catholics, gypsies, and everybody else that Hitler was trying to exterminate. He ordered the Bishops to do everything possible, he opened convents and monasteries to hide people. The top Rabbi in the synagogue in Rome was so overwhelmed by the love and support that the Holy Father that he converted to the Catholic Church. The leaders in Israel all issued statements thanking the Holy Father and the Catholic Church for all that it had done. The only people who believe that the Catholic Church supported Hitler are the know-nothings in the present day press corps that are willing to repeat any vile unsubstantiated rumor against the Catholic Church, and the people who listen to them. Look at history, not the local entertainment news.
