Would it hurt a dog to drink chlorinated pool water?

Your dog will be fine. I know people who put small amounts of chlorine in animal's water in order to keep bacteria, etc., to a minimum. Once a dog drinks out of it's water bowl/dish/bucket, contaminants are in the water and can result in making an animal sick if the water isn't changed frequently.

It's not a good idea and the worst that can happen is he may chuck his cookies. Keep fresh water on the patio by the pool. There is chlorine in tap water, but people that keep pools always don't put the right balance of chlorine in.
