Pools using salt systems have equipment that coverts sodium chloride (salt) in the water to chlorine in a small chamber on the return side of the filtration and heating equipment. The only advantage to adding additional chlorine to the pool would be to rapidly oxidize(shock)impurities like algae from the water by raising the chlorine content markedly. If the salt system is properly set and working this should not be necessary. ANSWER FROM ANOTHER ANGLE Using normal salt sodium chloride in a normal chlorine set up (That is Without a salt water chlorinator) would probably be slightly beneficial to the skin. However using magnesium chloride and potassium chloride besides the advantage of being non toxic and good for the garden makes the skin and muscles feel good.
