Have you noticed everytime you try to search about gaining weight on the internet and results appear (getting your hopes up) about the "1 simple rule". Although when you search through the website, they never give you an exact answer.
The truth is, there is no "1 simple rule" and it takes a lot more to gain weight - it's not that easy!
There are however three methods for gaining weight that I have devised, and these are as followed:
There are three simply rules to follow if you wish to retain or add a few more pounds to your weight, with the dependency of how much food you consume.
Rule 1: This is adequately the biggest step to follow through on and that's COUNT YOUR CALORIE INTAKE. If you wish to put on weight, make sure you consume 2000 (for women) or 2500 (for men) more or less. Most people don't even realise they are eating under their GDA and ponder on thoughts like 'why am I not putting on weight?' - Count the calories daily.
Rule 2: Just as important as the first step:- EXERCISE. 9 times out of 10, people will give up the daily workouts and inevitably revert to eating foods with fatty acids, etc as a way of gaining those few extra pounds. This is purely unheathly to the body and subsequently wrong. Always try to get around 30 minutes minimum of exercise a day to gain weight at a healthy but steady rate. Such methods include lifting weights (focusing more on the arm muscles) or simply doing activities like walking/ running during the day can help gain and also lose weight (depending on the amount you do).
Rule 3: With the consumption of food, try to maintain THREE MEALS A DAY. Eating the right amount of food can help retain or aid you with weight gain.
The three meals comprise of:
1) In the morning/ Breakfast
2) Lunchtime/ Dinner
3) In the Evening/ Tea
Try eating foods with moderate amounts of carbohydrates as they release insulin at a slower rate into the body making you feel fullier for longer - one way to help cut down on the amount of calories you consume if you wish to reduce your body mass.

No it's ideal weight for your age but the lower side of the ideal weight nearer underweight. But you have to take your height into acount to

That depends on how tall you are. If you look up body mass index there are websites where you put in your weight and height and it tells you if you are overweight, obese, underweight, normal, etc.
A bmi of 20 is not underweight, but is still a lower than average bmi. For the average adult, under 18.5 is underweight, and 18.5 to 24.9 is a healthy weight.
Actually underweight. 5'9" male should be 185-195lbs.
She is underweight. She weighs 110 to 105 lbs.

If you're female you are NOT anorexic, you are about the regular weight If you're male then you have a real high chance of being anorexic.
