Making cranberry sause from fresh berries is fairly easy. Depending on the amount of berries, but for the small bags sold in markets it is a cup of water brought to a boil, add the a cup of sugar and let it disolve before you add the berries. Continue to simmer and it should thicken as it cooks. Pour it into a bowl and cool.
