You may have to replace the Headlamp Control Module. This is located under the center console. It cost around $65.00 from Ford. I had the same problem twice. you will have to remove the console trim. The module is located to the front of the console. The module is a black box about 2"x5"
AnswerYou may also want to open the Lamp Out Moudule located under the center consule. It is located closer to the radio on the right hand side, when you are sitting in the drivers seat. Disconect the negative battery terminal first, then disconect the grey wiring harness connector from the LOM. Open the LOM and check the solidered joints. What usually hapens is the one of the joints breaks free and just needs to be re solidered. When you finnish solidering the joint plug it in and test it before you reinstall everything. If the blinker, or turn indicator bulb is in the lower portion of the front bumper, simply squat down, reach behind the front bumper, and "twist the bulb out" in the left loosey direction, the bulb can then be removed from it's socket and changed. If it is mounted on the fender next to the headlight, you need to remove the bezel surrounding the headlight and possibly the headlight it self. once the bezel is removed the bulb is easily changed.
The headlight can be accessed from the engine compartment. Pushed the headlight container in and turn at the same time. The headlight will come free so it can be changed.
I have a 91, and I think they are the same. I changed mine yesterday. They are behind the passenger headlight under the hood. There are 4 or 5 of them. Mine was the inboard most one. I hope this helps
On your Ford Explorer , 4x4 , you have a leak at the PASSENGER side front axle seal ( I have had my passenger side front axle seal changed 3 times now on my 1995 Ford Explorer ) The seal doesn't cost very much , the cost is the labor and I would say it takes about 1 and 1/4 hours to do the job
your headlight is probably full of water
headlight bulbs changed, dimmer swich changed, headlight swich changed.key off headlight work low ,key on goes to brights. unpluged harness check ok at first ,but after a few try hi beam indictor would not go to low m-beam
=why do my plugs keep cracking in a 2000 for explorer....changed four already
It may be blinking because it probably needs to be changed. To change the headlight you will need to open the hood of the car.
The headlight on a 1985 Honda Civic is changed by lifted the hood open. Locate the housings for each headlight and find the harnesses for the bulbs. Pull out the old bulbs and replace them.
if your headlight if blow and you have changed the headlight and it still does not work then most likely its the plug that plugs into the light itself i just went through all that and its the actual lamp plug you have to change
Are you sure it's the proper headlight for the car? Occasionally, installing a halogen bulb as a replacement (when the original was non-halogen) will cause the fuse to blow.
Your Headlight relay may be dead.
