You have a sylvania personal TV the remote is not working what is the code to use a universal remote the universal remote is a RCA?
I searched the internet looking for a way to program my comcast remote to work on my plain old 32" Sylvania TV. Nothing worked. The codes given by comcast didn't work. I read on another web site (askdave) where people with new Sony big screens were having the same problem. Their problem was solved by entering a 1 in front of the four digit number on comcast's list for their TV. I tried this for my Sylvania and the third code in the list worked with the 1 in front of it. Hope this helps.

You can use the Code Search function to find the code. Hold Code Search for a few seconds until the light stays on. Then press the TV button. Point the remote at the TV and… press the Channel+ button until the TV changes channels. There are up to 300 codes so you may have to press Channel Up a lot before it works for your TV. Make sure you stop pressing Channel+ as soon as the TV changes and press the Ent key to lock in the code.

Such codes are generated by the universal remote manufacturer rather than the TV manufacturer. As such, the actual codes will differ from one remote to another. Regretfully, O…levia TV's (for the most part) use proprietary infrared frequencies. This means that the code for another TV brand will not work with Olevia TV's.. If you are looking for a universal remote, Olevia made a learning remote (model RC-LRN). Amergence Technology Inc. sells them for 39.99. They can be reached at 866-965-3842.
Try 0054. Let me expand my answer to be a little more helpful. Some remotes need a 5 digit code, some need a 4 digit code. Above is a 4 digit code, The 5 digit code would be …10054. Some remotes automatically put in the 1.. Bearing that in mind, I have found more sylvania codes: I will give the 5 digit version and you can try them both by dropping the first 1 from the front:. 10054, 10030, 10171, 10020, 10028, 10065, 10096, 10381, 11271, 11314, 11394, 11931, 11944, 11963. These codes are determined by the TV, not the remote, so you can enter them into any programmable remote (You know, so your DVD remote can also operate your TV

Some codes for GE Universal remotes that work with Sanyo TVs are0097, 0110, 0268, 0108, 0004, 0180, 0049 and 0012. It depends onthe model of the TV and the remote which ones w…ill work.
It would depend on the model of the remote, the large majority can and when searching for the model number of the remote, some have 2 model numbers associated with them. If yo…u can't find a number, there are web sites with 1000+ pictures to compare and using their filters you can narrow your search fairly quick and they have pdf forms with user guides and codes. I always start my search at _ _ _ _ _ _ _.com Also keep in mind if the remote is of an earlier year, say 3-5 years ago, it may not have a code available as I have found many code sheets only list what was available at the time of printing and they seldom upgrade their list. I see the manufactures offering more features that require more circuitry, more buttons and nicer features that include learning, backlit, glow in the dark buttons and even a searching tone for when you just can't remember where you placed it or it fell under the cushions or was folded into the covers
I was able to use the code search on a GE 4 function remote, I found the remote for $5 at Big Lots. I started the search with the TV on and let it run until it shut the TV of…f. Steps I took, press and hold the setup key - then release, press and release the TV button, press and release the power button, after TV turns off then press the #1 button to lock in the code. This remote does almost everything but the sleep button.
Sanyo TV codes are 10054 and 11142. See the related link below.
