Yes its safe to continue with the pregnancy hun. However stop taking Xanax and consult your doctor or some pregnancy tests and ultrasound to make sure the baby is ok. From the Physician's Desk Reference: Pregnancy; Xanax can be Teratogenic (may cause birth defects). Category D : Evidence of human fetal risk exists, but benefits may outweigh risks in some situations, such as life threatening situations for the mother or when safer drugs cannot be used. Benzodiazepams can potentially cause fetal harm when given to pregnant women. Xanax is assumed to be capable of causing an increased risk of congenital abnormalities when administered to a pregnant woman during the first trimester, because of experiences of other drugs of this class. The risk would be small considering the very small amount you took, but discuss it with your doctor.
