Sorry, I don't have any pictures, but it's pretty basic stuff anyway. Keep the oil changed on a regular schedule. If the engine has more than 50k miles since it was rebuilt/new, use whatever type of oil that the previous owner was using if at all possible. If it has less than that, you might consider switching to a synthetic of the same viscosity (that's the numbers on the can that tells you the oil thickness. typically 10W30 or 15W40 or some other viscosity indication) always change the oil filter when change the oil. Follow the manufacturers recommendations on other filters.

This is important!!! DO NOT under ANY circumstance, let the engine overheat. That causes serious damage to engines, often destroying them permanently. It doesn't matter if you're in Phoenix, LA or Florida and don't think you need antifreeze, use it anyway along with a water pump lube and rust inhibitor. If you're using the newer "lifetime" antifreeze, change it every 5 years and don't mix it with water or other antifreeze, use it straight out of the bottle. If you're using green ethylene glycol, try to use the premix if you can, and change it every year since the water pump lube and rust inhibitor start to fail after that amount of time. If the coolant is dirty, flush the system using a good radiator flush compound that you can pick up at most auto parts retailers.

Every time you fill the tank with fuel, examine the belts and hoses for cracks, stiffness or bulges and check the coolant level reservoir and oil level to make sure they are full and between the two indicator lines. If the hoses or belts have any problem, replace them before they break and end up overheating the engine. Don't forget to check the heater hoses too. They hold pressure even when you're not using the heater, and if they leak you'll loose coolant and damage the engine. Changing the distributor cap, rotor, spark plugs and wires every 50,000 miles would help it run well.

Drive the vehicle easy for the first couple miles after you start it. Cold parts fit a little differently when the engine is cold and you don't want to stress anything until the pistons, rings and valves are all up to operating temperature.

Beyond that, there are plenty of maintenance procedures to follow, but they don't affect the engine.

And of course, don't forget to check for leaks when you start the car every time you get in. If it's leaking, find out why and repair it.
