Your brake lights are out in your 2000 chrysler cirrus ive changed the bulbs and the fuses and even put a new brake pedal switch on and they still dont workAny help would be appreciated? In: Chrysler Cirrus |

NOW THAT YOU HAVE REPLACED ALL THE MOST COMMON CAUSES ITS TIME TO START CHECKING FOR VOLTAGE ON THAT CIRCUIT. DO THE LIGHTS COME ON WHEN THE HEAD LIGHTS ARE SWITCHED ON? USE A TEST LIGHT TO SEE IF YOU HAVE VOLTAGE REACHING THE TAIL LIGHT SOCKETS. IF NOT, A BROKEN/LOOSE WIRE MAY BE TO BLAME.
9 OUT OF 10 THE PROBLEM WILL BE FOUND ON YOUR 3RD LIGHT. SINCE THEY ARE THE ONE THAT SUPPLIES THE ELECTRICITY TO THE OTHER 2 TAIL LIGHTS. CHECK THE WIRING ON THAT LIGHT FIRST.
i took my car to the shop to see why mine wouldnt work after i changed the bulbs. they laughed at me and said that i didnt tighten them enough. I know it's sounds stupid , but i thought I was torqing down on them enough. i mean , heck it's plastic. they told me that you'd think you were going to break them. i felt like an idiot. sorry if this didnt help.
