Your hens are older than 5 or 6 months and have not started laying yet what do you do?

[Edit]

Take into consideration their diet and environment.

If they are not fed a diet conductive to laying they will not lay. Greens, hay, wheat, and or natural ingredients and subsititutes are only one component that trigger laying in hens.

Light source, hens need approximately 10 hours of light a day to lay. The light triggers hormones that cause them to produce. Lack of the proper amount of light will delay their laying.

Stress, excess cold, heat or noise, a storm, a disruption in their routine, dogs, cats, and any other 'surprises' or a lack of routine, even a varied feeding schedule can cause them to not lay.
