Your laptop is running an AMD Turion 64 ML-30 which should be 1.6Ghz however the system properties displays 797Mhz any ideas why?

You maybe have turned on the power saving plan in the power option menu, making your processor owrk slower. Put it back to normal:

4. Choose either "Balance" or "High Performance".

The "Balance" plan enable your processor to work at 5% till 100% of its maximum speed.
The "High Performance" plan assure you that your processor works at 100% of its maximum speed.
