I Breed Lovebirds and when their is a female lovebird in a separated cage I often find
infertile eggs laying on the bottom of the cage. If you leave them their you will soon get
even up to 20 infertile eggs so when you see that the lovebird have layed this sort of
eggs remove them after 1 day or so.
All female birds can lay eggs without a mate. However, without a male, the eggs will be infertile and will not hatch.
birds will continue to fly
Different species of birds do not usually interbreed. When they do the resultant hybrid birds are probably infertile. [It only happpens with closely related birds, occasionally seen with ducks.]
You should not do this - but the mother will continue to look after the remaining birds.
birds will continue to fly
no they continue storking
It is very common and natural for female birds to lay eggs at regular intervals even when they are not in the presence if a male. Removing the nest may help in slowing down egg production, but many birds will do this. I myself had female zebra finches that laid an egg at least every two weeks, and of course they never hatched because the eggs were infertile.
They should eventually be removed from the cage or the birds will continue to incubate the unfertillized eggs.
Birds will continue to adapt and change their behaviors in response to changes to the environment due to man's influence.
Birds mate after and before making a nest
You NEED to avoid any pets or loud noises.
It's perfectly normal. Many types of female birds lay infertile eggs, eggs laid when there is no male around to mate with.
