Have you made sure that there is nothing on the card already? Some companies add demo videos and random pictures that take up a lot of space. If there is any delete them and that should clear up the space.
If that doesn't work or there is none, make sure that it is the recommended brand by the make, companies also block some brands that they think are of bad quality from working.
