"Successfully" is a relative term, since almost everyone who undergoes a piercing ends up having a negative reaction to stainless.
AnswerYou don't. It is not safe to try to pierce with household objects. It would be best to go to a shop and have it done as they have to check for vains that you may hit and will be better able to make sure that it will be straight. They will also use sterilized needles and jewelry that will keep you from getting sick.If you must do this at home you can buy sterilized needles (sometimes the whole kit) off of Ebay. Please read a few sites on how to do this.
One great site is BMEZINE.com
Answer
If the proper type of metal is used there will be no adverse reaction to stainless steel either. As for your question, answer number two is correct in all points. Answer one sounds like someone who is slightly prejudice against people with piercings and tattoos.
Answer
You shouldn't even attempt to pierce your own tongue if you don't know what your doing. youl just end up hitting a vein
You don't. Tongue piercings are extremely dangerous to do on your own. You dont even know if your tongue is suitable for a tongue piercing. A piercer has to look at the veins in your tongue and also at its size and how a piercing would come in contact with your teeth. If you pierce the wrong place, you could cause sever bleeding and have to go to the hospital. Could you imagine having your tongue get infected? People have had bits of their tongues removed due to complications from infection. Seriously, don't do it yourself and go to a professional :)
A phone book and a telephone. Look up Body Piercing in the phone book and call a Professional Body Piercer, book an appointment for the piercing. Look it's simple, if you screw up trying to pierce your own tongue you run a really good chance of ending up in the hospital with uncontrolled bleeding of the tongue or in the morgue because you choked to death in your sleep. This isn't a joke, see a professional piercer.
There are things in life you just don't do yourself, because you don't have a clue what you are doing, you are young and at this point "stupid" and that's fine. But don't let the "stupid" over ride your common sense. Tongue piercings are very serious piercings and can cause serious side effects if done incorrectly and with the wrong materials.
You don't have the knowledge or training let alone the equipment to do any form of piercing let alone a tongue, safely or correctly. Please use your head and common sense, see a professional body piercer in your area who does have the training and qualifications to provide the service to you safely and correctly.
The reasons you should not attempt to pierce your self should be obvious, but for those who think it's a "DIY" project, here's some food for thought.
Infection and contraction of MRSA, HIV, Meningitis, Hepatitis and Tetanus are all very serious health issues, MRSA is an antibiotic resistant bacteria that can in most cases land the unlucky individual in the hospital (and has been responsible for serious deformities and deaths). These infections has been caused by using unsterilized equipment and materials. Sterilization is not achieved by pouring alcohol over needles and jewellery, or burning these items over a fire or exposed flame. Microorganisms live in the fine fissures and cracks in needles and jewellery and only the high temperature and pressure of a steam Autoclave can render these and many other bacteria harmless.
The above reasons alone should be enough to sway anyone from thinking they can do it themselves. Professional body piercers have years for hands on training and education to enable them to make any piercing "look simple", when in fact they are considering dozens of things when they lay out a piercing and actually do it. So consider your lack of knowledge, training and skills before you attempt to do any self piercing, once you pierce it, it's damaged tissue. This makes it even more difficult for a professional piercer to leave you with a great looking piercing when the area we have to work with is damaged by self inflicted attempts.
Body Piercing Guidelines or "I want a piercing, now what"
Tongue kissing involves gently touching tongues with your partner in a rhythmic and coordinated manner. Start with closed lips and gradually introduce your tongue, following your partner's lead. Remember to communicate with your partner and pay attention to their cues and responses.
