What is slimming tea?

According to the green box of True-slim tea, it is an oriental herbal drink popular in the east for hundreds of years.it has no chemicalor artificial substances added to it. i have been on the internet for hours on end trying to find out if this tea can really help you lose weight but there isn't enough information. i am sitting here with a cup of the tea wondering if i should or shouldn't because some people have claimed really bad side effects. if anyone out there has used the tea please please please let me know if you have lost any weight from drinking the tea and if u have, how much and in how long.

I will tell you my experience. I have been using the tea for almost 4 years now. I have not noticed any difference in my weight. I use it because I have a severe case of Irritable Bowel Syndrome with severe constipation. A friend had gotten this tea from someone claiming it was a "colon cleansing" tea. I figured what the heck. Not to get into too much gorry detail, I have tried several laxatives over the years. Nothing ever helped. Some would work for a month or 2 and my body would get used to it and it would quit working. I would go as long as 2 weeks without going to the bathroom. I drank this tea and within 8 hours it worked. The first couple weeks you drink the tea you better make sure you are near a bathroom. But once your body gets used to it you can control when you go. I think it is a miracle tea for people with chronic constipation, however as far as weight loss goes...I don't think it does anything. I have discussed this with my gastroenterologist who doesn't recommend laxatives because the colon will "get lazy" and quit functioning due to the laxative, however my body has shown no signs of a "lazy colon", so he told me to continue drinking the tea since it works so well for me and no prescription medications have ever helped. It's a cheap resolution. Taste isn't wonderful, but not horrible either. Once in a while I get slight cramping, but nothing like when I don't drink it. You only need to drink 5 ounces so even if you don't' like the taste isn't not like you have to drink a whole bottle!
