What are your goals as a wiki Q&A site?
Our mission is to grow a collaborative answers resource. Everyone has knowledge or a passion to share, and everyone should have the chance to contribute that expertise to the world. On WikiAnswers, users can ask a question on any topic and get a cooperatively written, human-generated answer.
How is WikiAnswers unique?
Like on Wikipedia, WikiAnswers users can harness the power of the wiki-model to improve content. Unlike Wikipedia, WikiAnswers is not an encyclopedia, it's a question-and-answer system. We encourage everyone to add to and improve each other's answers instead of asking and answering the same questions over and over again.
Who contributes to WikiAnswers?
Anybody! You can contribute any knowledge you have to help answer other people's questions. Are you a mechanic who likes music and studying European history? Are you a pet owner looking to start your own business? Everyone knows something about something... check out the most recently asked questions here; maybe you've got knowledge to share!

How does WikiAnswers prevent spam and inappropriate content?
Contributors are encouraged to keep an eye out for vandals and spammers. WikiAnswers has a team of Supervisors who are contributors especially dedicated to helping WikiAnswers Q&A grow in a collective and productive way.
Supervisors are regular folks who spend extra time keeping questions and answers organized and user-friendly. If you are interested in becoming a Supervisor, click here.
How do I get started?
That all depends on what you'd like to do first!
- Sign up and be recognized for your expertise.
- Ask a question about anything you've been wondering.
- Answer a question with your relevant, accurate knowledge of the topic.
- Improve answers if you have relevant, accurate information to add to someone else's answer.
- Tell a friend about WikiAnswers and spread the love (and knowledge).

WikiAnswers, previously known as FAQ Farm, was acquired by Answers Corporation in November 2006 and is now part of the Answers.com family. It was founded in 2002 by Chris Whitten, a pioneer in the Q&A arena.
