Vandal Patrol Program

The Vandal Patrol Program is designed specifically to combat vandal attacks, aid in the maintenance of question alternates and to improve the overall quality of the site.

The program works to target and address each goal with a separate division. There are three divisions within the program: Site Guardians, Alternates Specialists and Site Investigators. An additional designation of Vandal Patrol Generalist exists as part of the program but is not attached to a specific division.

So how does it work? After a Vandal Patrol member accepts a mission from the Vandal Patrol Coordinator, it must be completed in order to receive credit for the mission. Members can earn Mission Completion badges to add to their bios by completing a certain amount of missions.

Division One: Site Guardians

The Site Guardians will be responsible for monitoring all current site activity in an effort to reduce vandalism by catching it as quickly as possible. This division is open to Supervisors only.

Division Two: Alternates Specialists

The Alternates Specialists are responsible for the splitting and merging of question alternates in an effort to increase the functionality of the site and properly deal with inappropriate and obscene alternates. This division is open to Supervisors only.

Division Three: Site Investigators

Site Investigators specialize in searching for and correcting answers containing vandalism and incorrect information. This division is open to Supervisors only.

Vandal Patrol Generalists

The Vandal Patrol Generalists are Supervisors who wish to participate on a casual basis without assigned tasks. They can choose at anytime to volunteer for an assignment or to upgrade to a position within one of the three divisions. This division is open to Supervisors only.
