∙ 9y agoThe Nook will not read Amazon's special AZW format on it's own. There is a great, free program which allows you to organize and convert your ebook library from any format, to any other format. Download Calibre onto your computer and use it to convert Amazon books to the Nook friendly EPUB format.

∙ 13y agoNo. Kindle books use Amazon's proprietary eBook format. As well as the Amazon Kindle, the Kindle ebook can also be read on various devices using free "apps" that are available for the iPhone, Android phones, iPad, Mac and PC. As the Nookcolor runs on the Android operating system, we may see Kindle app for the Nookcolor in the future. See related link.
