Terminated means stopped or ended.
If you mean charging fees to help you get your disability benefits, yes. When my father finally got his disability, he ended up getting over $5,000 in backpay. His attorney took 50%!
Because the long term disability benefits are probably better than the unemployment ones and because you can't collect both and you can claim unemployment only for a base period of 15 months, you may not have a better choice, but it's being made for you. Answer I think you should check in with the EEOC, since your rights as an employee may be an issue. In any case, unemployment can take several weeks to work through the process, so applying a month before the end of long term disability would make sense. How much you will receive will be dependent on the number of quarters you worked...best check it out so you have all the good information.

Depending on your area, you may qualify for an unemployment benefit if you're registered as 'unemployed' - where you are currently seeking work and not currently doing a job. If you're freelancing, you need to report your income while you're receiving your unemployment benefits. You may seek legal advice to help you with the papers.

A week or two your state will contact you before the 99 weeks runs out and you can do a phone interview or send in a letter form that they mail you to fill out or you can go to the unemployment office to do it there. but if you live in another state than were you are drawing from. check with the state to see if they have an extended benefits program because if they don't have EB program your finished with unemployment. You don't have to apply for it. You just have to keep doing your weekly claim and it will automatically continue if you qualify.
Unemployment benefits are extended for the "99ers", who's benefit period of 99 weeks of eligibility ended 6/2/10, until the end of November, 2010. It does not add a Tier 5, however, it just extends the time period for those whose period ended. However, a bill is being introduced (as of Aug, 5, 2010) to create a Tier 5, that would provide additional benefits (if passed and signed into law). See the 2 Related Links below for more details.
A tenancy at will can be terminated by providing a 30 day notice, generally. A fixed period lease cannot be terminated until the fixed period has ended.
