That really depends on what your main concern is. For many, money is the main concern. Dental care costs a pretty penny, especially for the oral surgery required to remove the widom teeth. If you need all four removed, it may be cheaper to just remove all four at one time. You will save some money on painkiller and the stuff they use to put you asleep (if you decide to be put under). If you do them all at the same time, you only have to pay for that once, but doing them separately means paying for painkillers each time. Pain is also a big issue with getting the wisdom teeth removed. I got all four of mine removed when I was 13, and I felt horrible for the first two days. I still wasn't completely better for probably a week. For people older than me, it will be worse for them. It may not be a considerable amount worse, but still, it's a possibility. No matter how you set yours up, you will most likely feel pain. Some say that by spacing it out, you don't have to deal with all that pain at the same time. Others say doing all of them together will make it easier because it's done and over with. After getting one or two removed and experiencing that, you probably wouldn't want to go through that again. In a way, it may be better to get all over with, especially if you can only take off so many days from work. All in all, this adivce doesn't and probably won't apply to everyone. To make the best decision, you should probably talk to your dentist or oral surgeon. Talking to other people who have gotten their wisdom teeth removed will also help you make a better decision.

Answer

If you remove your wisdom teeth individually, you would have to go through four surgeries.

Most people prefer to have all wisdom teeth extracted at the same time, and a lot of dentists recommend that as well.

Answer

Depends on if they have grown through the gum line or not and are impacted or not. My top 2 grew through the gum line (normally) and were extracted by my dentist, with local anesthesia. My bottom 2 are impacted (both laying on their sides), have grown half way, but are going to need to be surgically removed by slicing my gums open. In this case, the latter needs to be done by an oral surgeon, so NO they may NOT be pulled all at the same time. It depends on your personal situation.

If the odds are good that you are going to have to get more then one out you may as well do them all at once. I had one done by itself and then the other three all at once. The pain is the same really with one or all, so may as well do them all and get it over with. One thing to consider though is that your mouth will be numbed on both sides which could result in swallowing issues. Because of this your dentist may not let you do them all at once.

All four at once, if you only get two done at one time the pain will be so bad you wont get the other two done. Just get it over with and get them all done i just did and trust me i wouldn't go back to have it done again..

Why do we need to remove wisdom teeth?

There is a need to remove wisdom teeth only if they cause problems or might cause them in the future. There are no proper benefits of removing wisdom teeth if there are no issues. Removing wisdom teeth without a reason can be painful and may come with side effects. There is a huge percentage of adults in Europe that have not gotten their wisdom teeth removed because there is no need. So the question is when should we get our wisdom teeth removed. Before you plan to get it removed, it is better to answer these few questions: - Have your wisdom teeth caused a problem to the nearby teeth, or do you see an increased risk of that happening? Are the wisdom teeth stopping the other teeth from developing in the right way? Will the wisdom teeth interfere with the dental treatments or any jaw-related treatments you have planned? What risks are associated with wisdom tooth removal surgery? Could the wisdom teeth replace the missing or badly damaged molar? If you have already positioned permanent teeth, the extra molars will force the teeth to move. It causes pain or overcrowding. That means it will get difficult to brush your teeth or floss effectively. Impacted wisdom teeth can affect the sinuses. Wisdom teeth have to be removed if the molar's growth causes pain or congestion. Oral health is very much essential. Therefore, make sure to consult your dentist regularly to prevent any dental issues from occurring. Visit Platinum Dental Care for the best quality dental treatments at affordable prices.
