its an hour and a half from weymouth to Southampton drive and train.. don't know why they are the same .. train stops alot there is alot of stations before Southampton.... so drive or train makes no difference x
4 hours and 30-50 minutes. This requires a short trip on the London Underground between Euston and Victoria or Waterloo stations. I'd also look to see if there's a feasible Manchester - Southampton service (change at S'hampton for the short journey to Portsmouth.
