depends on where you were when you blew the stop sign? A private street it's 100.00 usually and a picture of your car is sent with it running the stop sign. The owner of the car is made to pay those tickets. Assuming the car owner will turn the ticket over to the driver of the car that day. If not they ding your credit file. To some that's no biggie. To others that's HUGE! If issued by cop I believe it's more AND YOU DON'T WANT TO NOT HANDLE IT. It's better to go to court on it than to ignore it and have it go to warrant. Go to court and at least you have seen the judge. Whether you pay on it is another thing. Don't make the judge issue a warrant because you'll find that these things never go away and surface at the worst times for you. And could also then add additional charges on you as well. It's better to just play by the rules with this stuff. You blew a stop sign. You think that only You are allowed to run a stop sign? Have you looked at stats on people killed running stop signs? shame on you. pay up. Make arrangements to pay it off if you have money issues.
The ticket will probably be around $347.00 That's how much mine was, but it was for (according to the cop) not stopping make a right turn on red. I think it's pretty much the same thing though.
