It depends on the city and the state. If its a right to work state wages are generally per day. As for the Seattle, WA. area, it's on an hourly rate. Around $25 hr. But most companies require a driver starts at the bottom. Varies positions include litter picking, tote delivery and pick up. Usually a person can then work into a recycle route position paying around $18 hr in the Seattle area, then into yard waste, and then and only then, a person bids into the fame and fortune of garbage. Generally there's plenty of overtime and a person can easily make over $60,000 year. Im a driver in Chicago for a private company.We drive and load garbage we make from 25 to 30 hr and make 75-100k a year and its union all weather rain sleet snow we HAVE to get it done or you cant work here..iI work anywhere from 50-60 hr s a week 6 days M-sat A weekly paycheck no anyhwere from 1000- 1200 so to the person who said get a life how much you make a week?
