Napoleon when measured was either 5'6" or 5'7". He was measured at his death, but in French units at the time, at 5'2", but converting this to modern units puts him 4 inches taller. Check out Wikipedia for confirmation, but you will find this from other sources. He was 5 foot 6 and one half inches tall.
Napoleon Bonaparte was not as short as most people believe. By the American system, he stood 5'6" tall. The French used a different measuring system, and in this system he was 5'2". Many people don't realize that there is a difference between the two systems, and therefore believe he was 5'2" tall by American standards.
