The sea smashed into the Headland (when there was one) which then created a archway. The archway then fell into the sea, the stack nearby is a bit off the old headland that has shown as the water level has fallen.Then it built up by quarul.

∙ 14y agoNO! Aliens did NOT form Old Harry. It was all due to cliff erosion. This means the sea eats away at the cliff and eventually makes an arch or falls over. Old Harry is just chalk which is made up of tiny, tiny cockles (You CANNOT see the in the sea unless you are diving.)

∙ 13y agoOld Harry Rocks was formed by Hydraulic Power erotion made a crack on the Ballard point headland, which was then made into an cave. After it was a cave is was made into an arch however the top of the arch fell down and formed Old Harry as a stack.

Old Harrys Rocks are called so because there used to be a folktale that the devil , locally called old harry , slumbered atop the rocks.
