It can only be done by bringing a revolution:
1. THROW out the existing administrators of sports.
2. REPLACE the vacuum caused with able administrators who are not just sports persons but also have abilities and skills in effective administration and leadership. Send our sports people for training in these skills.
3. PLAN infrastructure development with a masterplan for the entire country. India has always been divided regionally that want infrastructure development for just themselves.
4. DEVELOP athletes for specific sports from specific regions. boxers from haryana and north east (manipur) are more effective than say gujrat. Cyclists and rowers from kerela, Sailers from the sea-linked regions...etc etc.
5. CHANGE in mindset is important. For now, most of our sports persons are attracted only because being in sports guarantees them a job in the local (police etc) or central govt (railways, army etc). This mindset can only change if an athlete development plan is made, from grass root level.
It is all easy said than done, but impossible is nothing! That's why it is only a matter of time now. Change is inevitable. Sport connects straight to heart!
