Living things eat, breathe, sleep, drink water and produce offspring. Non-living things do not do any of these things. Non-living things are rocks, sand, air and water.
Estivation is summer sleep; hibernation is winter sleep.

When a person experiences sleep walking, these neurons become inactive which causes a person to sleep while in action.
