Usually expressed in thousands, a 277 count would be 277K. The normal range is 150K-450K. platelet-count

High counts eligible for a double donation to help others (such as with the Red Cross) would be 300K or higher. 150K-299K would be eligible for a single donation. Yes, you are normal.

Too high a count could mean bone marrow issues (>450K) and too low a count (<150K) could possibly signal a disease since your blood would not clot as fast if you bleed.

If you are in the range, don't worry, be happy. =)

TRUST ME!! Your PERFECT!! I just got a call from my Doctor Who wants to do a bone marrow test bc my count was only 559!! Although I do have other symptoms, count yourself lucky...Your right on point!!

Assuming you are talking about a human platelet count, and assuming you actually mean 477,000....

Normal range for humans is 150,000-450,000 per micro liter. Individual variation would tend to include 477,000 as normal.

Yes. Normal platelet counts are between 150k and 400k. I am a laboratory student and just received my own blood count tests back today, I have a 211K platelet count as well. My bleeding times where also very normal. You are fine. :-)
