my merucry mystique dont shift gears fast
Shift solenoids are inside the transmission.
where is the shift solenoid located on a 2002 ford mustang 6 cyl?
Check the shift unlock solenoid. The solenoid is known to go bad and cause this issue in a tracer.
There is no shift solenoid. There is a Master and slave cylinder instead. Master slave cylinder is bolts underneath the Brake Master cylinder. The slave cylinder is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AtrTcX8wym8 Video provided by Richpin :) -RC-
The Shift solenoid a and b are together on top of transmission behind the right cylinder head. If you remove the vacume control unit, you can see it easly.
I would be suspicious of the shift solenoids, this model I believe has 2 of them, along with a tcc solenoid.
Begin by removing the wiring harness from your shift solenoid. Remove the shift solenoid retaining screws. The shift solenoid will come out. Reverse the process to install your new shift solenoid.
The shift lock solenoid is located on top of the steering column. You will need to remove the steering column covers, lower dash trim, and the heater duct. Remove the steering column bolts and lower the steering column to access the shift lock solenoid.
where is the shift solenoid
I believe the owner's manual specifies that there is a screw on the side of the shifter that can be turned (via screwdriver) to override the shift lock mechanism.
Sounds Like Bad Motor Mounts. Check This Out First. GOOD LUCK
