Absolutely not. Read anything about the man which has any real research attached and at worst he was a bad boss at times, under great pressure and disappointed in the world not being as perfect as he hoped he could create for his team (who he occasionally grew to distrust, not for bad reason).

He was a truly great man, but a human with insecurities and flaws. He was no great politician and although he may have believed, in a growing world which appeared 'out to get him', in more conservative defensive values, his films were born of his real ability to create great characters and plots all with an undeniable moral undercurrent which at least underpins all (moderate) political opinion, and at most which was hugely liberal in areas such as ideas of sharing, equality, and class prejudice.

As Mickey Mouse became so hugely popular, and yet his perfectionist approach to creating work kept his company very near to bankruptcy he began to be forced by economics to step back from his level of perfectionism and remove himself almost entirely from the film making process. His (sorry 'Disney's') films because mushy and weak, and of no ground-breaking greatness allowing competitors to take over. He despised the pressures of the commercial world, mostly its interference with his ability to bring imagination to life. As a result he began working quietly on another project which he could claim to be 'perfect' creatively, and that was an idea to create a Disney 'world'.

His actions and reactions to the world were very antifascist, whilst his spoken language and public figure he created was very conservative. And whilst he brushed shoulders with people who were fans and leaders of many countries and parties, he was certainly never a fascist or a Nazi sympathiser.

During the war he turned the Disney company into a production company making pro-american war films to be used as Propaganda or educational films to inform the American public about war. As usual, whilst not being political with a capital 'p', he was certainly and absolutely an American, and one of the finest examples of one embodying the American dream in history.

Interesting that both Chaplin and Disney were both built up to huge heights and then shot down either during life (chaplin) as a communist, or after death as a Fascist.

Conspiracy theory absolutely. In conclusion...

Walt Disney could have done some undesirable acts, but was most certainly not a fascist.

Although there are many rumors about Walt Disney's involvement with the Freemasons, few of them come from reputable sources. There is no evidence that Disney was a Mason.

Walt Disney was a member of the Demolay, a masonic youth group.

Rupublican. In and interview with Walt Disney many years ago a question came up about politicians. All he stated there was he was a Republican and runs his business like a Republican. The Disney Corperation also sent $161,500 to Republicans and 9,000 less to Democrats.

Democrat. In one of the commercials it stared Comala Hares and she is a democrat. And in a commercial with Chandler Cenny and Ariel Marten they were so excited about her. So you can tell that most of the actors are democrats.
