WikiAnswers has gone through many growth stages since its beginnings in 2002 as FAQ Farm. One of our most significant changes came at the end of 2004 when we began converting from our fully-custom software to a customized version of the MediaWiki software (the same software used by Wikipedia and many others). This software change was so significant that it required a database "import" from our old system. Because of the import, questions and answers from before 2005 exist on WikiAnswers but they don't contain the full history and tracking that was enabled by the wiki system. Therefore, the first wiki history item records the data importation.
No, there is currently no system for subtracting Trust Points. It's a purely positive, incremental system. This may be something we will introduce later.
Any edit you make to a question on WikiAnswers goes into the history. You can make a contribution by answering a question, editing an answer, or flagging or unflagging an answer. You can also get in the history by discussing a question or changing its categories. If your asking about the historical count on the contributions list, then the answer is you can no longer add any contributions to this count, any contributions that may already be included will be from the old system of counting contributions.
Whoops! You caught a bug in the system. It is undergoing a fix.

The system generates a new password of random letters and/or numbers. Once you enter that to re-access your account, you can change it to something more memorable.
