there are loads of foods to avoid unfortunately, most of which are probably your favourites.... if reflux has been diagnosed you should have been provided with an advice sheet from your doctor . . . raw fruits and vegetables, especially citrus (high acid) , onions, spicy dishes, wine, red meat, fatty, fried or greasy food, the list is endless really. . . . i suffer from this condition and am prescribed medication . . . best advice i can give is to keep a food diary, record reflux episodes so you can monitor your diet. it is also advisable to avoid wearing tight clothing, belts, Bras and sleep with your matress raised at your upper end so acid would find it more difficult to travel (science). . . . if your gp does prescribe something to relieve the discomfort you should seek advice before taking any other "over the counter" remedies............... hope this helps.......... oh, the condition can also become worse if you are stressed, unfortunately, it will worsen if you have a drink or smoke in the hope of destressing yourself. . . . . vicious circle, catch 22 etc ............
