Personification (talking about a thing as if it were a person; treating an inanimate object as if it has personal characteristics) is often used in poems and songs. The hit song from 2010 by Flo Rida, "Club Can't Handle Me" is an example-- a club (night club, dance club) is a thing, an inanimate object, a room where people dance. But in the song, it is talked about as if it is a person, one that can't "handle" the singer, who is said to be such a great dancer and more popular than anyone else there. Another example is the 2011-12 hit by Adele, "Set Fire to the Rain," where the singer speaks of her own tears, but also speaks of the rain crying and screaming out the name of the person she has loved and lost.
thriller or something like that :)
Personification is a description of an inanimate object by giving it traits of a living being or animal.
Example: My boot's sulked in the corner. (Boots can not sulk, but by giving them the ability to feel emotions, the reader gets a better description of the boots, or of the overall mood of the text. It is personification because the boots are given a human trait; the ability to feel emotion.)
Songs using Personification:
Song lyrics are a lot like poetry, as they are words arranged in carefully, with a particular beat or cadence in mind, seeking to express a feeling or emotion to an audience. For this reason, many song lyrics use similar literary techniques that poems do, such as similes, metaphors, an personification.
The Grateful Dead song, "Saint Stephen":
"Sunlight splatters, dawn with answer, darkness shrugs and bids the day goodbye." Darkness can not actually shrug, or talk to the day, but by giving the darkness the ability to interact with the day, the audience can see the darkness not only as a description of night, but also as it's own character. Jefferson Airplane's song, White Rabbit : "When logic and proportion/ have fallen sloppy dead..." (Logic and proportion cannot actually die, they are not living things.)
idk wht a personification song is but a personification is when u give an object a human quality! for ex....... the birds were singing (they were not actually singing a song they were chirping) or the tree danced (it wasnt dancing for real) it was swaying or moving and well i rely hope u know wht a song is!
One example is Green Day's Good Riddance: "Time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to go".
"The sun's on my side take me for a ride"-Pocketful of sunshine by Natasha Bedingfield
Im a barbie girl! haha it perverted

It is personification without meaning to use personification
No, personification is when "dead" objects are given life-like qualities, such as making the bread Peeta gave Katniss talk, or just letting it be alive. You know how mockingjays sing songs they heard? I suppose that MAY be counted, but that's it, if that even counts. I don't recall any personification in it, do you? :) Hope this helps, give me a trust point? Thanks :)
There is no personification going on here.
No, personification does not have a prefix
