Water would move from the cell into the solution until an equilibrium reached.
the cell will lose H2o and shrink
A patato cube is placed in a beaker filled with hot salt water and another patato cube is placed in a beaker filled with cold salt water?
The plant cell would shrink but remain its shape.
swell up and lyse
Hydrilla is an aquatic plant which means that it naturally grows in water. If one placed hydrilla twigs in a beaker of water, the twigs would begin to sprout roots and would eventually grow leaves if the environment was conducive to growth.
do you go to UTAS? that is not an answer how is this going to help people ????
The beaker has a high chance of shattering.
hypertonic
beakers are not made of water, they are made of glass.
A solution which has a high concentration of a solute (example - glucose) will have a low water concentration. But when you look at pure water it has a high water concentration. So if a cell contains a high concentration of glucose and was placed in a pure water solution, water would simply move down its concentration gradient (going from high to low) which eventually causes the cell to swell. I hope this helped :D
You need dayan 2 hours
A patato cube is placed in a beaker filled with hot salt water and another patato cube is placed in a beaker filled with cold salt water?
What will happen to a red blood cell that is placed in a solution of 90 percent water and 10 percent salt is that the salt will decrease in volume due to osmosis. Meanwhile the water will enter the red blood cell, making it swell up.
it would absorb more and more water until it will explode
The plant cell would shrink but remain its shape.
a tripod
It will shrink.
swell up and lyse
