I went to see him perform, but there weren't enough people in the bar to make it worth his while. The bar said it was his choice, but I bet they refused to pay full rate. I stood next to him at the bar and he looked annoyed.
Just a small note on the Drop Inn. It has a lot of entertainment, but their compere is a bit of a throwback. I haven't heard the phrase ' shirtlifter' used in many years. I found his act anachronistic and homophobic. I stress that this was NOT Colin Gibb. Try Joe's piano and sax bar right next door, it has a much nicer atmosphere and if you're lucky Joe will sing a song to you.
