the main purpose of planting trees is to save the environment.....

as we all know the ozone layer is become thinner.....which causes global warming....

one of the main gases are carbon di oxide....which traps the heat of the sun and warms the earth's temperature......

trees need carbon di oxide so they reduce its presence but if there are no trees then the earth's temperature will rise and cause a lot of damage...

therefore planting trees is the only option since we humans have caused sooo much damage.....

There are many reasons to why planting trees is important and useful. Trees give us oxygen to breath. They take in all of the carbon dioxide and turn it into oxygen. If there were no trees we would be dead by now because of the lack of oxygen. We could not even live in the water since humans do not have gills. Some of the factories that cut down and/ or burn down the forests do not realize the work as giant air filters for us. They can take out dust particles and heat from air. Trees also clean the soil.

Trees clean the soil by absorbing harsh chemicals and other pollution particles that have entered the soil (phytoremediation is is another word for it) in it. They can either store the chemicals in them or change it into a less harmful from. They filter sewage and farm chemicals. They also reduce the effects of animal waste; roadside spills and cleans the water into the soil. They decrease the amount of noise around your neighborhood.

Tree can even diminish the amount of water in floods and tsunamis. One fully grown Colorado Blue Spruce can stop 1000 gallons of water, so imagine if there were a forest with thousands of those trees. That many trees can help stop a tsunami. They can also reduce the fast wind blowing.

Trees are not only there for cleaning the air, soil, and stopping tsunamis, they can help you, too, by providing shade and food. There are trees that grow apples, cherries, bananas, Oranges, and many other fruits.

The main objective in tree planting is to allow a tree to be securely placed in the ground so that it can grow and thrive. Trees take many years to grow and must be closely monitored until established.
